The legislative act envisages that all the hostels affected by the said Law are transferred within the certain period into the ownership of territorial communities under the procedure established by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. In case a local council adopts the resolution, pursuant to which the hostel (its entire property complex) transferred into its ownership retains the status of "a hostel", it is liable to privatization in compliance with the said Law. If the council resolves to grant a status "a social housing" to a hostel, it is not liable to privatization, and is used for rendering social housing in accordance with effective legislation.
A relevant Bill (Reg. No. 2009) was registered at The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
